As part of our 5 Star Build Plus Guarantee, Build Plus Ltd guarantees to complete your renovation project within the time and price intended and provided for in your building contract, or Build Plus Ltd will pay you $117 for every day that it unreasonably delays completion.

This means you can budget with confidence knowing that your renovation will not be any more than you planned and it will be completed and looking immaculate on the expected date.

What is the Homefirst Builders Guarantee?

Members of the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand can apply to Builtin New Zealand Ltd for a ten-year written guarantee when undertaking your renovation. The guarantee, if granted, gives the new homeowner additional reassurance and belief in the quality of the workmanship provided by their Certified Builder.

The Homefirst Builders Guarantee covers:

• ✓ Loss of Deposit- not exceeding twenty percent (20%) of the Contract Price, or $50,000, whichever is the less.
• ✓ Non completion of the dwelling- not exceeding twenty percent (20%) of the Contract Price, or $100,000, whichever is the less.
• ✓ Structural Defects for 7 or 10 Years
• ✓ Non-Structural Defects for 2 Years
• ✓ Alternative Accommodation

18 Month Workmanship Guarantee

Because of its 137 point quality control system, Build Plus Ltd undertakes careful checks throughout the project to maintain the highest levels of quality that far exceed the average building company. Therefore, in addition to the benefits which may already be available to you under your building contract, statute or otherwise, Build Plus Ltd stands behind the quality of its workmanship and that of any subcontractor engaged by it and guarantees it for a period of 18 months from when the renovation project is completed.

This will give you that additional peace of mind, knowing that in the unlikely event that any faults in workmanship occur (fair wear and tear excepted), they will be corrected by Build Plus Ltd to industry standard within a reasonable time and at its own cost.

Note: In the event of any inconsistencies between this 5 Star Build Plus Guarantee and the building contract entered into between Build Plus Ltd and its client (“the contract”) the terms of the contract prevail over this 5 Star Build Plus Guarantee.
