We will provide you an Architectural Designer that can plan and draw up your renovation project the way you want. We give you expert advice to whatever you may ask, don’t be shy to ask us any concerns you may have. Remember as your Renovation Experts we are here to help.
Step 4: Get a Renovation Pricing Document put together
When suitable plans are decided by you, our builders and architects we then make you a pricing document. A pricing document is a documentation that contains costs that relate to your project such as materials, labour, equipment hire, insurance, health and safety and clean up. This document provides you in detail how much each aspect of the project will cost to you so that you know your renovation project will be completed within budget.
Step 5: Get a Building Consent
Once you are happy with your finalised plans we can get your building consents for you if needed. Building consents are needed before any renovation work can start, so getting building consents is a must. The processing of building consents from Council can take up to a minimum of 20 working days.
Step 6: Choose the most suitable building contract
Contracts will then need to be put in place. You can choose between three contracts with our builders which are full contracts, labour-only contracts and managed labour-only contracts. Our qualified builders will discuss with you thoroughly about what these contracts provide you. This reassures you that we are responsible for your project and certain duties are placed on us.
Step 7: We recommend you get insurance to cover your project
Next we will provide you with insurance if you need it, it is highly recommended that you apply for insurance on your project. This is because arranging and applying for insurance is vital for your renovation project because without the appropriate cover in place your project can be at high risk. In order to protect the project from risks during the construction period a Contract Works and general liability policy will be required.
Step 8: Get a Health & Safety Plan for your project
Our next step is to draw up a health and safety plan for the work site, so that whoever goes onto the site is protected from construction risks and that site rules are put in place. We do not tolerate individuals who do not comply with the health and safety regulation, which can endanger themselves and others around them.
Step 9: Once the paperwork is done, progress payments begin
Once plans, building consents and contracts are finalised we will begin building your dream home, kitchen and bathroom renovation the way you want. This is where progress payments will begin, this ensures that you are only paying for work our builders has done at anytime. We will give you regular updates on your renovation project, open communication is vital between our clients and us.
